Why is your business or institution designated to be in Red Flag Rules compliance by June 1, 2010?
Under the FTC Red Flag Rules, your operation's potential exposure to millions of dollars in fines and civil prosecution revolves around the FTC's definition of "Creditor" and "Credit".
Creditor "... any entity that regularly extends, renews, or continues credit; any entity that regularly arranges for the extension, renewal, or continuation of credit; or any assignee of an original creditor who is involved in the decision to extend, renew, or continue credit."
Credit - "... a right granted to defer payment for any purchase."
The FTC's Litmus Test: If The Products Or Services You Sell Are Not Paid In Full At The Time Of Purchase, You Must Comply with the Red Flags Rule.
The Federal Trade Commission estimates 11 million businesses or institutions must comply with Red Flag Rules by June 1, 2010, or risk being fined millions of dollars in addition to the exposure of civil or class actions by victims of identity theft.

Your Third Compliance Requirement
- Verify the identifying information presented by an individual: and
- Authenticate the actual identity of the individual presenting the information.
These procedures cannot be performed by using information obtained from a credit report or any information which is generally available from a wallet. The Red Flag Rules requires these procedures be performed by employing outside data sources such as:
- the Social Security Number Verification Service
- the Social Security Death Master file: and
- state and national data bases to verify the individual's SSN, DOB, address, telephone number assignment, etc.
Red Flags Comp Solution
We include a Compliant Identity Scan service which searches across over 30 million data sources to return a printable Identity Verification Report to you in only two seconds.
Also included in the report are 5 "Challenge Questions" from these sources to authenticate the actual identity of the individual presenting the information. Without Challenge Questions, your institution November only be verifying information presented by an identity thief creating exposure for fines and civil litigation.
